V2 MARKETING & MANAGEMENT UPDATES YWCA WEBSITE TO INCLUDE THE LITERACY COUNCIL PARTNERSHIP

V2 Marketing & Management recently completed the integration of the Literacy Council into the YWCA Northwestern Illinois website (www.ywcanwil.org/litcouncil/). The updated site features easy access to information about the Literacy Council, including free classes for adults, free tutors for adults and ways to become a tutor. As a united organization, it can provide greater access to vital services for the people in our community.

The YWCA Literacy Council provides free classes through group and individualized tutoring programs to adults seeing to enhance the quality of their lives by improving their English language comprehension, reading, writing and English as a second language (ESL) skills. The organization has been advocating for literary awareness and services in the Rockford region since 1985.

YWCA has been empowering women in Northwestern Illinois since 1891. Their mission-driven services continue to evolve to meet the needs of women, children and families in Rockford, and the Illinois counties of Boone, Jo Daviess, McHenry, Ogle, Stephenson and Winnebago. In 2022, the Literacy Council was acquired by YWCA Northwestern Illinois.
